Verse 1

G C G
In dreams of yesterday I wander back to my little cabin door
                                                                  D7
I strolled beside an old rock garden and saw familiar scenes once more
  G C G
I heard the organ softly playing its music came so sweet and low
                                                      D7 G
And I heard my mother sweetly singing as oft I did so long ago

Verse 2

                                  C G
I heard her sing the Rock of Ages and Silver Threads Among the Gold
                                                        D7
She told me once again of Jesus within the little cabin fold
    G C G
She opened up a faded Bible where the family record used to be
                                                           D7 G
And I knew it was the same sweet mother when years ago had cradled me

Verse 3

                                        C G
I was dreaming of a little cabin when I heard somebody call my name
                                                              D7
I looked and saw a sweet old lady and it seemed I was a child again
    G C G
She gently put her arms around me and kissed her little boy once more
And I knew it was the same sweet mother
                        D7 G
That had kissed me many times before
