Written by Marvin E. Baumgardner

Key of G · Chords: I IV V

Verse 1

      G C G
Death is an angel sent down from above
                                  D
Sent for the buds and the flowers we love
      G C G
Truly ’tis so, for in heaven’s own way
                             D G
Each soul is a flower in the Master’s bouquet

Chorus

          C G
Gathering flowers for the Master’s bouquet
                                  D/A D
Beautiful flowers that will never decay
         G C G
Gathered by angels and carried away
                        D G
Forever to bloom in the Master’s bouquet

Verse 2

Let us be faithful till life’s work is done
Blooming with love ’til the reaper has come
Then we’ll be gathered together someday
                         D G
Transplanted to bloom in the Master’s bouquet
