Verse 1

     G
When the curtains of night are pinned back by the stars
                                  C
And the beautiful moon sweeps the sky
     G F
When the dew drops of heaven are kissing the rose
   G D G
It is then that my memory flies

Verse 2

     G
Upon the wings of some beautiful dove
                         C
To hasten the message of cheer
     G F
I’ll send you a kiss of affection and say
     G D G
I’ll remember you, Love, in my prayers

Verse 3

     G
When the angels of heaven are guarding the good
                            C
As God has ordained them to do
   G F
In answer to prayers that I offered to Him
  G D G
I know there’s one waiting for you

Verse 4

   G
Go where you will on land or on sea
                                C
I’ll share all your sorrows and cares
    G F
And at night when I kneel by my bedside to pray
     G D G
I’ll remember you, Love, in my prayers

Verse 5

May the angels be with you and guard you through life
And guide you up Heaven’s bright stairs
And know that I love you wherever you roam
     G D G
I’ll remember you, Love, in my prayers
