Old Love Letters

Key of E · Chords: I IV V

Verse 1

      E
Today I burned your old love letters
  B7 E
I burned ’em gently one by one
    E
And as I’d light the flame I’d read it
    B7 E E7
For I could see what you had done

Chorus

    A E
The first you wrote me was the sweetest
    E B7
The last one broke my heart in two
    E
And as I’d light the flame I’d read it
    B7 E
For I can say I still love you

It told about you and your new love

A love I knew could never last
