Verse 1

C F C
There's coming a day when the world shall melt away
                              G7
And Jesus shall come to claim His own
        C F C
No more tears no pain no woe in this wicked world below
                 G7 C
Then will you be ready to go home

Verse 2

F C
Will you be ready to go ready to go home
                                 G7
To live with Him up there around the throne
        C F C
When He says come unto Me will your soul be clean and free
                 G7 C
Then will you be ready to go home

Verse 3

                                         F C
In this world of greed and hate will you wait till it's too late
                             G7
To claim the Savior for your own
         C F C
For He's coming someday to bear your soul away
                 G7 C
Then will you be ready to go home

Verse 4

                         F C
As you travel day by day down life's long highway
                               G7
Are you on the road that leads to wrong
               C F C
If you'll just travel in His light and pray both day and night
               G7 C
Then you'll be ready to go home
