Verse 1

G
The wind is cold I walk alone
   A#7 C G
My head is hanging low
             A#7 C G
The friend I found within myself
            D7 G
Is the only one I know

Verse 2

The blossoms of the dogwood tree
     A#7 C G
Have fallen all away
             A#7 C G
And like our love they lay to rest
            D7 G
Beneath the red red clay

Verse 3

     D7 C G

             A#7 G
I'll wake to find you gone
             Bm C C
I'm learning how to lose you now
    G D7 G
And how to carry on

Your love your love has known to fears
     A#7 C G
Your heart can feel no pain

I know I know you'll soon be gone

To ride that midnight train

Verse 3

I'll wake to find you gone

I'm learning how to lose you now
