Chorus

G C
There is a new moon over my shoulder
       D7 G
And an old love still in my heart
           G7 C
I remember now that I'm older
         D7 G G7
What you told me the day we had to part:

Verse 1

    C
You promised with the new moon
         G
You'd be coming back to me
A7
Many moons have passed
          D7
Still I'm waiting patiently

Bridge

      G G7 C
There is a new moon over my shoulder
       D7 G
And an old love still in my heart

Instrumental

G D7 C D7 G

Chorus

G C
There is a new moon over my shoulder
       D7 G
And an old love still in my heart
        G7 C
Now I'm wishing I had been bolder
     D7 G G7
Then perhaps we would'nt been so far apart

Verse 2

    C
You promised you would write me
       G
But so far not a line
A7
Still I wait, and make believe
     D7
That someday you'll be mine

Outro

There is a new moon over my shoulder
       D7 G C G
And an old love still in my heart...
